s 20410. SWRCB - Compliance Period. (C15: s2550.6)
(a) The RWQCB shall specify in WDRs a compliance period for each Unit. The
compliance period is the number of years equal to the active life of the
Unit (including any waste management activity prior to the adoption of the
WDRs) plus the closure period. The compliance period is the minimum period
of time during which the discharger shall conduct a water quality
monitoring program subsequent to a release from the Unit.
(b) The compliance period begins anew each time the discharger initiates
an evaluation monitoring program (under s20425).
(c) If the discharger is engaged in a corrective action program at the
scheduled end of the compliance period specified under ¶(a), the
compliance period shall be extended until the discharger can demonstrate
that the Unit has been in continuous compliance with its Water Standard
(under s20390) for a period of three consecutive years.
