(a)(1) The Specialized Associate Degree (Occupational) or the Associate of
Applied Science Degree may be awarded only to students who complete at
least the learning outcomes equivalent to a minimum of 60 semester units
or its equivalent in other units of credit.

(2) A minimum of seventy-five percent of the curriculum shall be in
the occupational area for which training is offered.

(b) The Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees may be awarded
only to students whom the institution can document have achieved
sequential learning equivalent in breadth of knowledge and understanding
(i.e., general education) to that acquired in two years of college study
beyond high school, as measured by a minimum of 60 semester units or its
equivalent in other units of credit.
