s 80040.2.5. Instructional Practices Component of Programs of
Personalized Preparation for the Designated Subjects Adult Education
Teaching Credential.

(a) The instructional practices component of the program of personalized
preparation for the designated subjects adult education teaching
credential in any subject within the category specified below shall
include demonstrated competence in the following:

(1) Adults with Disabilities: instructional strategies, activities
and materials that are appropriate to the teaching of adults with
disabilities.

(2) English as a Second Language: language structure, second
language acquisition and development, and instructional strategies,
activities and materials that are appropriate to the teaching of
English as a Second Language to adult learners.

(3) Older Adults: instructional strategies, activities and
materials that are appropriate to the teaching of older adults.

(b) The instructional practices component of the program of personalized
preparation for applicants for the designated subjects adult education
teaching credential in any subject who wish to teach in programs that
primarily serve older adults shall include instructional strategies,
activities and materials that are appropriate to the teaching of older
adults.

(c) The instructional practices component of the program of personalized
preparation for applicants for the designated subjects adult education
teaching credential in any subject who wish to teach in programs that
primarily serve adults with disabilities shall include instructional
strategies, activities and materials that are appropriate to the teaching
of adults with disabilities.
