ARTICLE 1. GENERAL FUNCTION

s 40056. California Maritime Academy: Board of Visitors.

(a) The Board of Visitors to the California Maritime Academy is hereby
established. It shall advise the president of the academy on matters
related to the mission of the academy. The Board of Visitors shall be
constituted with a membership consistent with the requirements of
Education Code Section 90120. The Federal Maritime Administration is
invited to provide a nonvoting representative to participate in meetings
of the Board of Visitors, as provided by Education Code Section 90120.

(b) The President of the California Maritime Academy is delegated
authority to appoint members to the academy's Board of Visitors.
